Riviera Maya Cenotes
Cenote Diving Trips
Cenote diving is one of the signature underwater experiences of the Riviera Maya. Instead of ocean reefs, you dive in freshwater systems with clear water, limestone formations, light beams and cavern-style scenery.
How to Choose a Cenote Dive
The right cenote depends on certification level, recent experience and comfort in cavern-style environments. Some cenotes are more open and beginner-friendly for certified divers, while others are deeper or more technical in feel.
If it is your first cenote dive, start with the standard cenote option and ask which site fits your experience. If you already have strong buoyancy and more logged dives, advanced sites such as The Pit, Dos Ojos, Angelita, Carwash, Zapote or Maravilla may be a better match.
Certified Divers
Cenote diving is for certified divers. Check each product card for the listed certification level.
Freshwater Visibility
Cenotes are known for clear water, light effects, rock formations and a different feeling than ocean dives.
Companion Option
Non-diving friends or family may be able to join with the companion option, depending on the trip.
